Who we are

Scale With Direction is the service described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact support@scalewithdirection.com.

What we collect

  • Assessment data: the business type you select, the task description you type, your answers to the five scoring questions, and the resulting score and recommendation.
  • Technical account data: an anonymous account identifier created automatically so your work can be saved and resumed. No name, email, or password is required for the free assessment.
  • Email address: only if you choose to save your plan, secure your workspace, sign in, or purchase the Starter System. Adding an email is optional — the free assessment, report, and Priority Plan work without it.
  • Marketing permission: a separate, unchecked opt-in box next to the optional email field. We record exactly what you chose. If you leave it unchecked we only use your email to secure and restore access to your work. If you check it, we may send occasional automation tips and product updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time or email us to be removed.
  • Purchase and entitlement records: the fact of a purchase, its status, and what it grants. Card details are never received or stored by us.
  • Starter System content: the notes, decisions, and configuration you enter while working through the paid stages.
  • Interaction events: a small set of named product events (for example: assessment started, report viewed, checkout confirmed, outbound tool or affiliate link clicked, social profile link clicked) recorded with the page path, the tool or platform key, and your campaign source. These events never include your task text, your raw assessment answers, your email address, or payment identifiers.
  • Basic hosting and delivery logs generated by our hosting platform, such as request and error information.

How we use it

  • To produce your Automation Opportunity Report and Priority Plan.
  • To save, resume, and restore your work across sessions and devices where you are signed in.
  • To process a Starter System purchase and grant access to it.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To keep the service secure, reliable, and free of abuse.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your assessment content to target advertising.

Processors we use

  • Supabase — authentication, database storage of assessments, purchases, entitlements, and Starter System content, plus transactional sign-in emails.
  • Stripe — payment processing for the one-time Starter System purchase. Stripe receives payment details directly.
  • Website hosting and platform analytics provider — application hosting and platform-level visitor/page statistics.
  • PostHog — privacy-focused product analytics. We send a small set of custom funnel events (for example: assessment started, report viewed, checkout confirmed) with page paths and campaign source only. We do not send your email address, your task descriptions, your assessment answers, or payment identifiers, and session recording is switched off.
  • Loops — marketing and lifecycle email service. Loops is used only for marketing contact syncing: your address is shared with Loops after you voluntarily add it and your profile records your choice, and marketing messages (occasional automation tips and product updates) are sent only when you select the separate opt-in checkbox. Emails needed to access your account, such as sign-in links, are sent through Supabase, not Loops.

Processors may store or process data outside your country. Each processor publishes its own privacy documentation.

Cookies and local storage

The current build uses the following on your device:

  • Assessment progress: browser local storage holding the tasks and answers of your assessment so you can return to them on this device.
  • Authentication and session: Supabase stores a session token in your browser so a signed-in session persists. This is required for the service to function.
  • Marketing attribution: a first-party local storage entry named swd.attribution.v1 holding your first-touch and latest-touch campaign details — an allowlist of utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term values, the hostname of the site that referred you, the page you landed on, and the time it was captured. Full referrer URLs, query strings, and email-like values are not stored.
  • Product analytics: PostHog stores a pseudonymous analytics identifier using first-party browser local storage and a first-party cookie. Session recording, autocapture, and heatmaps are switched off.

This build does not use advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which also clears any locally saved assessment progress.

Withdrawing marketing consent

The marketing opt-in is off unless you tick it. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing support@scalewithdirection.com. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop emails needed to access your account or your purchase.

Retention

Assessment and workspace records are retained while your account exists so you can return to them. Purchase and entitlement records are retained as long as needed for access, accounting, and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account data by emailing support@scalewithdirection.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@scalewithdirection.com to make a request. Complaints can be raised with your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

We will update this page when the service or our processors change, and will note the revision date at the top.
